Oh yes I Am in to improving any of my body parts basically. However, I have a great problem. I am from Hungary and most of us have debit cards and not credit cards. So far it has been impossible for me to buy anything from abroad, especially from America. Similarly I haven't been able to get hold of Scott's book, The Fit chic Perhaps there is no way for me to get this book? I am going to start anyway, with special concntration to my bum. Any suggestion concerning the purchase?
Eszter, yes you can join without GM program(at least that is my opinion!). the most important thing is that you are doing butt exercises like squats, lunges, butt lifts(as I call them)(you lay on your back and bend your legs at the knees with feet on floor and then lift your butt up..)step ups, etc. do those type of exercises. maybe angie can chime in with other ideas...
either way...get off your butt and get it to moving!!! lol
HI Eszter...not much I can help you with to purchase the book (s)...sorry. However, of course you can still get in shape and get that 'firm butt' with ANY butt/thigh exercises that you know.
Thanks Suzette for chiming in regarding the butt exercises. Yes, you can do the squats, lunges, walking lunges, split lunges, deep - seated squats, pulsing squats, dead lifts, butt lifts, ...any variety that you want! The idea is to challenge yourself and to keep challenging yourself MORE with each workout. You can do this by lifting heavier weights and/ or with less rest between exercises.
Right now, I am working out my legs on Mon., Wed., and Friday. I do at least 5 days of cardio. I am also following The Fit Chic 10 minute Express workouts so that I get in a full body workout each week. I am only spending a total of 1 1/2 hrs. on weights and then the cardio is in addition to this.
Have you viewed our free videos yet? They will be helpful to you too!
Good LUck with the challenge! Have an awesome day :)
ok, who's in? I am!
did my first workout today! i think i will be sore tomorrow(wed.) got off to a "Bad" start by not getting my workout in on the first day...but will straighten that out next week...
come on, you all!
I am in too :) However as I said, I haven't got the GTM. I have done exercises, I feel that my butt has grown bigger! I cannot feel any firmness though :) How are you feeling? Any difference ?
Week one down! How is everyone doing? I only got in two workouts in the past week. but i feel they were beneficial. I don't think I will notice a difference for several weeks. This isn't a quick fix challenge. It will take time. Keep persisting and the changes will come. You have to push yourself! Not only in the gym, but in the kitchen! This is where I have my hardest time...food!
Exercise is the toughest part for me. Eating, nutrition is OK nowadays. My husband is not nagging me any more about what I eat, and I have more strength to resist the not-so-good stuff. Since I don't have access to the gym, I do my exercises at home/outdoors. Home exercises are pretty tough to undertake especially with a 1.5-year-old clinging to you all the time ! :) Sometimes I just put him into his baby walker, and I try to amuse him while doing my workouts. If the workout permits, he can stay outside of course.
HI Suzette, how are you doing with the challenge? You look fantastic by the way! What program are you following of Nick's? I am following his advanced 20 min. workout from home. I am on week #5 next week. I believe I have gone through all of his workouts and now I will cycle through them again and try to push myself with heavier weights and possibly more reps! I still want to be able to walk, so I need to be careful!
It's been great so far...I DO feel a lot FIRMER. I really feel that my legs are worked when I go to try and do some cardio the next day...
Yes , my challenge can be the eating too. With the little kids and all of their sweets I find it tough to hold off...I think the key is scheduling in those 'cheat' meals or just having a small taste, instead of a big bowl of ice cream, for example.
Thanks for all of your posts and inspiration to all the 'fit chics' out there!
